Policy

-
New enrollees will have one (1) year to complete the requirements for graduation. WBC will no longer be offering the second year free for students who do not complete the course in the first year.
-
If you lose your WBC ID card during the year, you may obtain a new card by paying $10.
-
Harassment, drunkenness or any other behavior deemed disruptive by a WBC Staff member or Chapter Outings Leader will not be tolerated. Such behavior will be grounds for immediate dismissal from WBC and all functions.
-
Guns, electronic sound-generating equipment, pets, and children are not allowed in class or on outings. Please shut off the volume on your phone before class and turn your phone's Airplane Mode ON before a trip, or you may be asked to leave.
-
WBC encourages you to carpool to conserve resources but the staff and/or leaders cannot organize carpools or caravans because of liability issues. However the leaders will usually set aside time during the class for you to make your own arrangements.
-
All students need to be able to hike Iron Mountain, from the parking lot to the saddle (where the sign is at the T-intersection) in 50 minutes, while carrying 15 pounds in their daypack. If you need more time than 50 minutes to complete the day hike at Iron Mountain, we will strongly encourage you to take time to further condition and return for class the following year.
-
You are responsible for you own safety and well being. If you do not feel safe performing any aspect of an outing, notify the leader and request an alternative.
-
It is your responsibility to "stay found" at all times.
-
Due to the fact that sign up sheets carry personal medical information about a student, no student can sign up for another student unless a permission form has been signed and submitted by the first student.
